  1. Nice write up and awesome pictures – they do a good job of capturing the atmosphere! I was one of the two who did it the day before you guys. We shared many of the same sentiments as you guys (not being able to see our feet on the vastly overgrown trail, that ‘is this really the stream crossing??’ segment, the surprisingly slow going to Ouzel lake from above the falls etc.). It definitely is a unique experience.

    For us, the worst part of doing it in one day meant starting at midnight, with the darkness making it quite a challenge to find the ‘trail’ before the falls. I think we spent about 75% of our time there bushwhacking! Anyone thinking of doing the same, I recommend a very good headlamp.
